National Voter Registration Day is the nation’s biggest nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to getting every eligible American registered to vote for their next election.
According to 2020 U.S. Census data, 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote or aren't sure they are registered. Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or aren’t sure how to register.
National Voter Registration Day wants to make sure everyone has the opportunity make sure they are registered to vote before the next election. So, on Tuesday, 09.19.23 volunteers and organizations from all over the country will “hit the streets” in a single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts.
