What’s the first thing I should do before I vote?

Do a quick check. Check your voter registration status to make sure your name is still on the active voter database at the right address, with the your correct name, and your party affiliation. Call the Fremont County Clerk (307) 332-1088 or 1089.
The Fremont County Election Office must purge* the names of everyone from its voter database who did not vote in the 2020 General Election making these people ineligible to vote until they Re-Register to Vote. *66,301 people or 23% of WY's total registered voters were removed from the voter rolls in 2019.

I’m definitely registered to vote, but haven’t voted in the last few elections. What should I do?

What are Voter Registration Qualifications?

If you are 18 years old on Election Day, a US Citizen, a resident of WY and have not been convicted of a felony, or if convicted, have had voting rights restored.

How Do I Register To Vote? 

Print the Wyoming Voter Registration Application Form, fill it out, then sign the form before a county clerk or notary public. This part is really IMPORTANT: It MUST be notarized! Follow the directions for mailing it on the form.

What Are Acceptable Identification Documents (ID's)?

Provide ONE of the following: * Valid WY Driver’s License or Out of State Driver’s License * US Passport * Tribal ID Card *ID card Issued by any State or Outlying Possession of the US * US Military ID *ID Card Issued by a Local, State, or Federal Agency * WY Student ID * University of WY, a Wyoming Community College, or a Wyoming Public School ID * ID Card Issued to a Dependent of a Member of the US Armed Forces *Valid Medicare Card or *Valid Medicaid Card
OR
Any two or more of the following documents: *Certification of United States Citizenship *Certificate of Naturalization *United States Military Draft Record *Voter's Registration Card from another State or County *United States Social Security Card *Certification of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State *Original or certified copy of a birth certificate bearing an official seal or *Any other form of identification issued by an official agency of the United States or a State.

I can't register in person, can I register by mail?

Yes! Mail a completed and notarized Wyoming Voter Registration Application along with a copy of an acceptable ID as noted above. Visit sos.wyo.gov for more information

Is Same Day Registration & Voting Available in WY?

YES! You may Register to Vote and Cast a Ballot on the same day on Election Day at Fremont County's 8 local Voting Centers or Polling Places. But, why wait, Register Now! Important: Voting in person? Bring your ID to the Voting Center.
